It's a certified 2 day course that meets workplace first aid requirements. It teaches you how to manage an emergency scene and how to cope with most first aid emergencies and covers NZQA Unit Standards 6400, 6401, 6402.
I had initially looked at doing it through St Johns but they had no courses left this year and most were during the week. Thankfully Red Cross had weekend courses.
All I have to get after that is the swimming cert ... I'll get around to that soon, promise!
