Training ... training ... training

I joined a gym and started a weights and cardio program to prepare for the Physical Appraisal Test (PAT).

I have always been a good short distance runner. I was quite successful at school in the 100m and 200m races, but longer distances were never a strong point. I found 1500m was my limit and would find the last half of that distance to be really difficult.

I have built up my stamina on the treadmill at the gym and spent some time pounding the streets with my dog. The only thing wrong with running with the dog is he starts off at a cracking pace then runs out of steam after about 1500m. I end up dragging him along!

The gym training continues ... and continues ....
